Duties of the Secretary:
- 3-year term, staggered with webmaster
- Sets meeting location and makes reservations
- Email council of past officers to find list of who attends
- Organizes newsletter
- Solicits symposia information for Newsletter.
- Recruits reporters for symposia, which is not necessarily the organizer.
- No minutes of meetings, just a list of action items and decisions from the meeting
is mailed to officers
- Liason to webmaster. Coordinates content with webmaster
- Advertising IBM awards
- Participates in Physical Division Executive Committee meetings.
- Maintains list of duties of officers, which is posted on webpage.
- Maintains list of standing articles in newsletter. Coordinates with webmaster to
post on web.
