Duties of the Chair:

• 1 year term
• Sets meeting agenda
• Runs theory subdivision meeting
• Reports to Phys Chem. Division meeting
• Sends out meeting agenda, preferably in advance
  Officers web site should contain typical agenda for Spring and Fall meetings
• Confirms funding for IBM award with Phys. Chem. Div. Secretary
• Coordinates new activities and offerings
• Chairs committee to select Vice-Chair-Elect, Secretary, and Webmaster. Names committee members. The same committee selects all officers.
• Coordinates newsletter with Secretary, writes Chair’s letter
  Spring – Chair, Fall – outgoing Chair
• Works with next Phys. Chem. Div. Program Chair to pass on suggested symposia and organizers. Organizers should be chosen considering the goal of involving more women and industrials, and to mix junior and senior scientists
