Data Policies

This site is best rendered using a standards-compliant browser such as Firefox. Microsoft Internet Explorer, while widely used, is not very compliant with web standards and does a mediocre job of displaying this site. If something doesn't look good, change your browser.

Each user or group is responsible for archiving their own data on their own media. Data generated on the TSQ7000 is retained on the host computer for at least 6 months, after which time a courtesy backup is performed (data is burned to CD or DVD). Courtesy backups are intended to be kept indefinitely, but since it is a courtesy backup there is no guarantee of it being available. (This has, thus far, not been an issue. Media longevity is a bit of an unknown, and disappearance of backup media is an unfortunate possibility.)

Note that data from the TSQ7000 is in a proprietary binary format and cannot be accessed without the proper software (i.e., QualBrowser). Utilities are available to convert the binary data files to xml; check with the MS facility manager for details.
