Welcome to Chemistry 4200: Instrumental Methods of Analysis. The course has 2 lectures per week and one laboratory session.
The goals of the course are:
For you to leave this class with an appreciation for the importance and relevance of instrumental analysis in your everyday life;
For you to have learned a few of the instrumental analysis techniques and their underlying theory that allow you to quantitatively analyze complex samples for specific components; and
For you to understand the meaning of the numbers obtained from instrumental methods and to be able to critically evaluate their validity.
